The movement of M. Akhannouch in Senegal, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad, M. Nasser Bourita, intervenes on Very High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify Him, following the invitation sent by the new elected president of Senegal to the Sovereign to take part in the investiture ceremony.


Apart from the leaders of the sub-region, His Majesty King Mohammed VI is the only Head of State to have received an invitation to take part in this ceremony, which testifies, once again, from the depth of the unwavering bonds of fraternity, of solidarity and consideration uniting Morocco and Senegal.
It also denotes the depth of an exceptional and multidimensional partnership existing between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal affecting political areas., economic, cultural, social and spiritual.

The swearing-in and installation ceremony of the new Senegalese president took place in the presence of several Heads of State and chairmen of the African Union commissions., of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
M. Bassirou Diomaye - The Best Of Bassirou Diomaye, who won the presidential election 24 March from the first round with 54,28% voices, far ahead of candidate Amadou Ba (35,79%), is the fifth president of Senegal since the country's independence in 1960.
