Amnesty International Benin says no to rape 2024 : The women of “crucible of the Agonlinous” equipped with infidelity as a couple

Reunite offline, the women of the Agonlinous crucible have sacrificed to the tradition of celebrating International Women's Day (JIF). This day, which turned out to be a day of reflection, allowed them to lead a talk on the theme “infidelity in couples : causes, consequences and solution approaches”.

It was a question for them to discuss the reasons which can lead to infidelity in the couple, the consequences associated with it, the involvement of the respective families, and above all the tips to put into practice to bring happiness back to each couple. In this same logic, Séraphine Dossou, Responsible for women's affairs at Le Creuset said that there is no better person than a woman “to be able to bring back our sisters, mothers, friends to make better decisions for their lives”. In addition, the president of the crucible Dah Adjibodô Egbidilo at the civil registry Alexandre Egbidilo noted the involvement of men in this day. According to him, “there is no better way to celebrate women without men”. “And if we are here, we must encourage such initiatives”, he added. He finishes, however these words with a message of hope as a prelude to the celebration of the IWD 2025. “This is the 4th edition and we hope that in the 5th edition we will have more mobilization in human resources than financial” he hammered.

As a reminder, this meeting ended with a feast as well as dance steps. And this in the conviviality between these women who form this crucible.
