According to the account of His Majesty Sinadunwiru, Prime Minister of the Imperial Court of Nikki, the Gaani edition 2020 is scheduled for saturday 31 October 2020. Baatonu and Boo peoples will meet from Friday 30 October to Sunday November 1 2020 to celebrate their culture in the company of Emperor Sabi Naina III.
As a reminder, the feast of the Gaani is a traditional annual festival of two (02) days, celebrated every year in Benin (precisely to Nikki), in Nigeria and Togo (Sokodé region). It takes place on the 12th day of the 3rd lunar month of the Bariba calendar. Today it has become an identity celebration that brings together not only peoples with the same cultural and linguistic expression, but also those with a common destiny. This is the occasion for Emperor Baatonu of Nikki to receive gifts and also New Year's greetings.
