Rosine Soglo, former first lady of Benin passed from life to death. The death occurred on Sunday afternoon 25 July 2021.

 At the age of 87 years, she comes from an afro-brazilian family. In 1946, she goes to France to study law in high school. She works as a bailiff between 1965 and 1968. She married politician Nicéphore Soglo, became President of the Republic of Benin in 1991. In 1992, she creates the Renaissance party of Benin. The next year, the party issues a press release encouraging her husband's supporters to join this new movement.

So in 2007, she is a member of the Alliance pour une Dynamique Démocratique (ADD) with Antoine Idji Kolawolé and Bruno Amoussou. ADD is running for parliamentary elections in March 2007 and gets 20 seats of deputies. Following the April parliamentary elections 2011, Rosine Vieyra Soglo becomes President of ADD. However, during the ballot, she had joined the Union makes the Nation coalition, making promises in particular to improve the quality of government as well as on the subject of housing. In the April legislative elections 2015, she was re-elected deputy in the 16th constituency under the Renaissance banner of Benin. Dean of the National Assembly, she presides over the first debates during the meeting of the 19 May 2015 before the election of the President of the Assembly. In 2019, thanks to the second extraordinary session of the National Assembly, she decides to end her mandate as an MP because of her vision loss.

Note that she is the president of the NGO "Vidolé" to help vulnerable layers and couples who gave birth to twins and triplets.
