 April presidential campaign 2021 : Expenses of political parties revealed

A little more is known about the spending of political parties in the context of the April election campaign 2021. More than two billion were spent by the parties of the movement while the party of the Fcbe spent more than 400 million CFA Francs.

The campaign of the Talon-Talanta duo cost just over two billion. According to the campaign accounts filed by the parties at the Court of Auditors on 17 June 2021, the campaign cost two billion three hundred ninety-one million four hundred and forty-three thousand fifty-seven (2.391.443.057) CFA francs. This sum comes from political parties (1.440.298.800 FCFA) and Talon-Talata candidates (951.184.257 FCFA).

As for the Djemba-Hounkpè duo of Fcbe, he spent a little more than 400 million FCFA. On a forecast of 2.420.399.000 FCFA, the Force Cauris party campaign team for an Emerging Benin (Fcbe) only spent 474.765.957 FCFA. Note that these figures were revealed by the Court of Auditors in a document made public.

Recall that Patrice Talon was reappointed at the head of the country from the first round of the presidential election. The Talon-Talata duo obtained 86% votes while the Djemba-Hounkpè duo is in 2nd position with more than 11% of votes cast. The Kohoué-Agossa, at the end of the presidential, collected a little more than 2% votes. Final results made public by the Constitutional Court.
