Benin / Football : Damissa FC, the registered trademark!

Slowly but surely, the professionalization of the sport desired by the government is taking shape. Former president of Béké FC, Francis Koto GBIAN and other football players have just formalized the birth of a sports society called “Damissa FC”. It was on the occasion of a General Assembly held on Sunday 15 Last November in the commune of N’DALI.

The world of Beninese football clubs welcomed a new born child over the past weekend. Damissa Football Club is her name. Out of the bowels of key players in sport king in Benin, this club is already making sensations. Barely his birth recorded, warning signs of a demarcation of obsolete practices in the management of football clubs in Benin are already being observed. In other words, this baby of the Beninese football family is already in step with the demands of the “Pro model” that the New Start regime aspires to. Promote men's and women's football at the grassroots, participating in the training of young people through the creation of a training center contributing to the blossoming of talents and being active on the national sporting scene are among others the missions that the managers of this team have assigned to themselves. And they will succeed when we refer to the experience of its president, Francis Koto GBIAN at the head of the Bembèrèkè Warriors for eight ( 08) years.

“A mission , of men and means”, says the adage. And before the implementation of this sports society project, the initiators are well aware of this. The mission being known and the human resources available,  the customs commander, Francis Koto GBIAN and his team have put in place the appropriate means to achieve the objectives.

In addition to sports equipment, the club has a brand new bus in his image. A means of transport of 39 places equipped with WiFi connection, a refrigerator, two TV screens, a bar, a restaurant, a kitchen a microwave, toilets and a VIP seat. Enough to put players and members of the technical staff of Damissa FC in optimal conditions before each meeting. For President Francis Koto GBIAN, the bus which cost several million FCFA corresponds to the ambitions of the club. All these investments at the start of this new adventure undoubtedly bodes well for a bright future for this training. What already thrills the hearts of lovers of round leather in the municipality of N’Dali in particular and those of Benin in general. Like a well-born child, all social layers of the municipality of N’Dali and those of the whole north have unanimously welcomed Damissa FC, (ex AS TADO) whose, it is now up to prove its existence through better performances.
