In accordance with Decree No. 2020-349 of 15 July 2020, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Alimatou Shadiya Assouman proceeded on Thursday 15 October 2020, the installation of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Industrial Property (Anapa) at the institution's headquarters in Cotonou. Composed of seven members, said structure has, at his head, the Technical Advisor for project monitoring and partnerships with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Armelle Sèdami Kanhonou.
” Pendant les trois prochaines années, you will have to deliberate on questions relating to industrial property. By settling in today, I would like to urge you to work for the proper functioning of ANaPI and its influence. '', said Alimatou Shadiya Assouman, before recalling the provisions which govern the creation of ANAPI. ” Régie par les dispositions de la loi n°94-009 du 28 July 1994 bearing creation, organization and functioning of social offices, cultural and scientific, is the National Liaison Structure (SNL) with the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (OMPI), deux organisations dont la République du Bénin est membre”.
Aware of the requirements of the republican mission to entrust them, the President of the Board of Directors thanked President Patrice Talon and the Minister of Commerce for the choice made on her and her collaborators. She therefore urged the other members to a unit of actions around the values of humility at work, diligence and especially wisdom so that the results are achieved. “Mon désir ardent est de nous voir mettre notre intelligence collective au service de l’ANaPI pour relever les défis de cette Agence afin de la rendre apte à accompagner la mise en œuvre du programme d’actions du Gouvernement” a indiqué Armelle Sèdami Kanhonou.
Moment chosen by Mathias Agon, the Director General of ANaPI to thank the government and the Minister for her laudable efforts. He reassured the Board of Directors of his availability to collaborate with its members.
