Alibori / Education : Training of trainers “Seeds of peace”.

As part of the implementation of Benin program activities (2019 – 2021)  in the department of Alibori, the foundation “Seeds of peace” organized a training seminar for trainers from the 1st to the 4 September 2020 at the Saka Kina hotel in Kandi. This in the presence of the Departmental Director of Social Affairs and Microfinance and the Departmental Director of Nursery and Primary Education of Alibori.

Four (04) days during, the trainers were equipped with the training plan of the primary education program for the culture of peace and the training plan for Alibori social workers.

According to Jules Zannou,  national foundation coordinator, this program aims to provide quality education by improving academic success and reducing dropouts, to prevent violence against children by raising awareness in communities and to improve social cohesion for lasting peace. As a reminder, Seeds of Peace, is an innovative international NGO in the field of education. It develops transformative solutions to achieve quality education and expand it to skills to prevent violence and develop a culture of peace.

It offers comprehensive training programs and educational resources for Ministries in charge of education, schools and after-school centers. They are intended for teachers and their students., as well as the educators and the young people they accompany. Founded in Geneva in 2005, it is independent of any religious obedience, sectarian or political, while being actively open to dialogue and exchange. It is active in Switzerland and France, in West Africa and North Africa.
