Agency for the control of indoor electrical installations : Syntraco denounces the opaque management of the DG

The month of January rhymes with presentations of New Year's wishes. On this occasion, to the Directorate of the Agency for the Control of Indoor Electrical Installations (Contrelec-Benin), the office of the National Union of Workers of Contrelec (Syntraco) took the opportunity to denounce the nonchalance, the opaque management of the Director of Administration and a head of his department and demanded their systematic departure. This presentation of wishes was not at all rosy to the current Director General of Contrelec-Benin, Saïzonou Mouhamed Masmoudi, who decided to shine by his absence despite the various letters sent to him to notify him of the said ceremony of presentation of wishes. And, Because, the general secretary of Ben/Syntraco, Désiré Kassa, after wishing the authority all the best, immersed himself in a denunciation. First, he drew the attention of the Director to the fact that the careers of the staff are being violated and that the Contrelec workers are unhappy. He indicated that improving the working conditions of agents is of little concern to those to whom he has entrusted personnel management..

“I have as proof, the low satisfaction rate of our claims platforms which is often 20 % at most since 2 years and the total breakdown of frank social dialogue, sincere and lasting between the administration and the social partners”, did he know. According to his words, this situation led union members to the General Assembly held on 19 last january.

And, several decisions were taken including the immediate return of Mr. Dodji Hodonou, current Director of Administration and Strategic Management (DAYS) and Mr. Edouard Sokpon, head of the General Administration Department (CASS) in their original structure and their replacement by skills chosen internally and not by external people, as you are used to complaining about their incompetence ; la dissolution pure, simple and immediate of the preparatory committee set up within the framework of the elections of staff delegates and requires the organization of said elections in compliance with the texts of the labor code in force.

"Mr. Director General, the staff also notes, with bitterness that the agency's resources are not fairly distributed. And you know well that when there is no equity, frustration automatically sets in”, he concluded, while hoping that their legitimate demands will find reliable solutions for the smooth running of the agency.
