A first in more than ten years for a Beninese club. And it was the Flowers men’s team who achieved it by booking their ticket for the semi-finals of the 45th African Champions Club Championship, Morocco 2024. Unfortunately the second Beninese club still in the running, Adjidja stumbled before the Egyptian ogre Zamalek.

They did it. They are now in the final four. The Beninese technician by Aimé Sebio, and its foals have stamped their ticket for the semi-finals of the 45th African Champion Clubs Championship in Morocco. This Wednesday 16 October, they managed to dominate the Etoile du Congo club (29-21).

Will they repeat the feat achieved by Pélican Hbc in 1998 in Cotonou and 2002 in Yamoussoukro ? What rejoices in advance, is that the men of Flowers Cnss managed to reach a milestone that Benin had been seeking for several years in club competitions on the continent, the ace square.

After having arranged the formation of Etoile du Congo on this brand of 29-21. Flowers, positions itself more as the torchbearer of Beninese handball. Coach Aimé Sebio and his foals continue to write history during this 45th edition of the African Champion Clubs Championship which takes place in Laayoune in Morocco. The next challenge remains to reach the final. And it's quite possible.

Adjidja HBC falls to Zamalek in a one-sided duel

The Zamalek, a true juggernaut of African handball, inflicted a heavy defeat on Adjidja HBC of Benin, in the quarter-finals of the 45th African Champions Club Championship in Morocco. The Egyptians dominated the match from start to finish, imposing itself 45 at 26. From the first half, the ditch was dug, Zamalek already leading 25 at 10 at the break, testifying to their technical and physical superiority.
