Too much suspense during this International Cycling Tour of Benin 2024. From the top of this highly contested challenge, at the end of each stage, a new winner. And this has not changed at the end of this third stage run this Thursday 2 May between Djidja and Athiémé, or a distance of 113,800 km.
Indeed, from the start of the race several runners tried to light the fuse. The riders of Team Born’heure decided to play the leading roles in the peloton. Which explains their presence in all the breakaways and especially the intermediate sprints.
Their resilience paid off with the victory of Lebon Victor. He crossed the finish line in a sprint by deposing Mansouri Islam from Algeria and Bouda Wahabou from Burkina Faso, second and third respectively.
64 riders competed in the third stage Djidja. The jersey still remains on the shoulders of Yoel Habteab of the German Time Bike Team of Germany.
The fourth stage will take place this Friday, distant from 97,170 km, between Ouinhi and Porto-Novo.
