19th edition of the International Cycling Tour of Benin : Algerian Lagab Azzedine winner of the first stage

The Algerian, Lagab Azzedine won the first stage of the 19th edition of the Benin International Cycling Tour, traveled on Tuesday over a distance of 125,800 km between the cities Boukoumbé-Djougou.

The Algerian cyclist is followed by the Eritrean Habteab Yoel, arrived at the second and at the end of the Moroccan Achraf, who reached third at the end of this first stage, which is the most difficult because of the mountains.

Tomorrow Wednesday, cyclists will complete the second stage of the Tour, from Parakou to Savè over a distance of 156,420 km.

More than sixty riders from several African and European countries take part in the Tour of Benin 2024 which will be covered from 30 at 4 may over a total distance of 646,470 km.
