Benin hosts the 11th Africa Region Congress of World Physiotherapy. It will be 27 at 29 October in Cotonou. A first in Benin whose opening ceremony is for this Thursday 26 October 2022 à Azalaï Hôtel.
Not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 health crisis, it is Benin which finally shelters for the first time (in a French-speaking country), the 11th World Physiotherapy Africa Region Congress of 27 at 29 October 2022. This, under the theme “Improving the quality of physiotherapy services for sustainable development in Africa : the role of training, practice, research and governance”. Around this theme, participants from around twenty countries to reflect on the improvement of physiotherapy care in public and private hospitals and health centers so that there is better patient care taking into account all the aspects with the different themes that will be discussed during the congress. The local organizing committee, the Communication Committee and the Beninese Association of physiotherapists-rehabilitators (ABEKIR) work hand in hand to promote through this congress, Beninese intellectual potential and show foreigners the value of the country through its culture and the new monuments erected there. It should be recalled that Benin officially joined the World Physiotherapy in 2015, 64 years after its creation.
